What world do young people want to see in fifteen years?
That’s one of the questions United Nations Ambassadors asked at a youth assembly taking place at the United Nations in New York.
The main theme of the two-day event is “bridging the gap between youth unemployment and global development”.
Never before in history have there been more young people in the world, according to UN estimates.
Today, 18 per cent of the global population, or 1.1 billion people are between the ages of 15 and 24.
On Wednesday, youth representatives from around the world were asked where they think new jobs will exist in the next fifteen years.
The Romanian Permanent Representative to the UN, Simona Miculescu, said she thinks young people have the means to overcome current unemployment challenges.
