Educating youth about the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development today is crucial for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Engaging children and young people with the SDGs would help to drive and create a generation of “Goal Champions” who can both instigate and benefit the changes that the SDGs set out.

The World’s Largest Lesson is a new initiative by Project Everyone; a media and campaign group that aims to bring about global awareness of the Global Goals. The aim of the World’s Largest Lesson is for educators to set aside one week in the curriculum to teach students about the SDGs to build up ideas and engagement for sustainable development starting from childhood.

The World’s Largest Lesson provides the resources for educators to do just that. Through video, social media, and lessons plans, teachers can easily share knowledge about sustainable development with their young students. Educators can have access to a library of information on the SDGs and tips on how to influence the global citizens of tomorrow. The project provides colourful animation, comics, and activities to engage students in actively working towards sustainable development.

The media presenting the SDGs also includes appearances from UN Goodwill Ambassadors such as Emma Watson, who presents the SDGs to children in creative and informative videos describing global life in sustainable development.
